SoundProof Windows can Help Keep Spaces Cooler This Summer

While our SoundProof Windows are specifically designed to prevent noises from entering homes and commercial spaces, it also serves as an energy efficient addition that will help keep temperatures down this summer.

SoundProof Windows reduces the air infiltration into a space and virtually eliminates stuffy drafts and cold air escaping to the outside because of pressure differences. By reducing the air infiltration, the hassle of over cooling an area will be a thing of the past.

Our soundproof windows are second windows placed behind your existing windows. Our windows insulate, stop drafts, are made of soundproof glass and have other benefits. They open and close just like your existing windows, and offer more than replacement windows – at a significantly lower cost.

How Does SoundProof Windows Work?

The laminated glass used in every SoundProof window has an inner layer of PVB plastic that stops vibrations from passing through. Additionally, there is an air space between the two windows (the existing window and the new Soundproof window), so the frame is isolated from vibrations. Lastly, we spring-load the seals in our frame, which puts a constant squeeze on the glass panels. This constant squeeze prevents sound leaks and helps stop the noise from vibrating through the glass. A wine glass will ring when struck, but if you hold it firmly there is no ring. This is similar to how our frame squeezes our glass panels to keep them quiet and reduce noise.

So if looking to for a way to help keep commercial or residential properties from overheating during this year’s sweltering summer while also enjoying peace and quiet, consider using our industry leading SoundProof Windows.
